Senior Director, Head of Travel – New York City

Overview:

Concertiv is hiring a Senior Director to work with investment banking, private equity, and asset management executives on their corporate travel programs. As a Senior Director, you would be responsible for managing client travel programs, advising on the procurement of new supplier agreements, negotiating with vendors, and supporting the growth of Concertiv’s Travel vertical. The Senior Director will have managerial responsibilities over a team that includes a Director, an Associate, and Analysts.

This is a hands-on role, offering broad exposure to project management, negotiation tactics, and financial services operations in a highly entrepreneurial environment. While there is a substantial analytical component to the position, it is also very much about ‘doing’ and rapidly implementing ideas, including executing the details of data-driven projects and producing client-ready presentations. This is a client-facing and vendor-facing role.

A high degree of discretion is required, as you will frequently handle sensitive and confidential information within elite financial services institutions. Please email your resume and interest to careers@concertiv.com

What you’ll do:

  • Advocate for clients by negotiating vendor agreements and recommending best-in-class service providers
  • Lead RFP processes ranging from the annual Concertiv hotel RFP to ad hoc travel agency RFPs for clients
  • Analyze business cases, cost projections, and vendor proposals
  • Lead client check-in calls with senior executives (e.g., COOs and CFOs)
  • Publish vendor landscapes to help clients assess product values
  • Play an active role managing the day-to-day execution and professional development of the Travel vertical staff
  • Establish partnerships with key suppliers to enhance Concertiv’s buying power and suite of industry relationships
  • Increase year-over-year Travel vertical revenue by implementing retention strategies for existing clients
  • Generate internal and external reports to track Concertiv’s execution wins and negotiating successes

You should have:

  • 10+ years of professional experience
  • Experience working with major GDSs, TMCs, and large suppliers
  • Ability to speak authoritatively to client stakeholders including the C-Suite
  • Math, data manipulation, and presentation skills to create client-facing work in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Effective written communication via email, presentations, and white papers/industry analyses
  • Ability to balance simultaneous negotiations and advisory projects across multiple clients; calm under pressure

Who will love this job:

  • A competitor: you are motivated to deliver wins on behalf of clients
  • A team player: you know when to collaborate and when to execute solo
  • A problem solver: you ask the right questions and drive towards solutions with exceptional attention to detail
  • A builder: you will develop our infrastructure, playbook, and process to support our growth

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation and upside potential
  • Opportunity to drive the product vision of an industry-disrupting business
  • Exposure to business leaders across finance, law, consulting, and technology
  • Sharp, motivated co-workers in a flexible and dynamic office environment
  • Great work/life balance, including flexible vacation policy

About Concertiv:
